  • How are Sonoport sounds different from standard mp3 files?

    Sonoport sounds are algorithmically generated sounds which can be changed real-time. Unlike mp3 files, which are static and hence limit a developer's creativity, Sonoport sounds allow developers to push creative boundaries in creating an enhanced web experience.

  • What are the benefits to Sonoport AS3 sounds?

    Sonoport sounds are built in ActionScript 3 and therefore native to any AS3 developing environment such as Adobe Flash and Adobe Flex. This allows for a whole range of possibilities to AS3 designers and developers not provided by standard MP3’s such as real time interactivity.

  • What are the minimum system requirements to implement Sonoport sounds?


    To implement Sonoport, you will require an AS3 development software, such as:

    - Flash CS4 and above
    - Flex Builder 3 and above
    - FDT
    - Flash Builder

    Sonoport can be implemented on:

    - Windows XP and later versions
    - Mac OS X v10.4.11 and above

  • Can I use my own mp3 files with the Sonoport Library?

    Yes you can! The Sonoport Library has a unique technology that allows you to extend the use of any mp3 file. Visit to our sounds page and click on the "MP3 to AS3" tab to begin exploring how you could create dynamic sounds using your own mp3 files.

  • I do not have much audio knowledge, can I use Sonoport sounds?

    Sonoport sounds are made in such a way that no prior audio knowledge is required to use them! Our products are catered to meet the needs of the developer as well as the designer.

  • What is the average size of each sound model?

    Our complete sound library is delivered as a single SWC file and each individual sound model is typically about 30-50kb in size.

  • What version of Flash do I need to use Sonoport sounds?

    The Sonoport Sound Library requires AS3 and must run on Flash Player 10, so you will need Flash CS4 and above.

  • Is it possible for me to try Sonoport Sounds for free before I buy them?

    Of course! You can either test out our sounds on our Sonoport Player or download our complete SDK for free. However, the free version can only run locally. To allow it to run on a server without a watermark, you will need to buy our membership.

  • What are the benefits of becoming a Sonoport Member?

    All members will be able to run the Sonoport library on a server. All updates and additions to the Sonoport Sound Library will also be available.

  • What payment methods do you use?

    At Sonoport you can pay using PayPal or any of the leading credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX and Discover). Our payment services have been certified by TRUSTe.

  • Is it possible for Sonoport sounds to be used in AIR Applications?

    Absolutely! Sonoport sounds can be exported as AIR applications as well as SWF files.

  • What are the licensing terms?

    Please refer to our Licensing terms here for more information on the usage of our free Sonoport sounds for non-commerical use and the premium ones in commerical projects.

  • What is the Refund Policy?

    We will always try and solve any problems first. However in the event that we are unable to resolve the problem we are open to discussion of other possible solutions and if none can be provided then a refund can be granted if deemed necessary.
